Anthrocon 2009 - The Galaxy’s Largest Furry Convention

For all you furry folks out there, be sure to mark down the galaxy’s largest furry convention on your calendars. It’s never to early to plan a trip to Pittsburgh, PA for Anthrocon 2009 from July 2-5.
In 2008, over 3,000 furry fans descended on Pittsburgh for what looks like a good time. The Guest of Honor was Disney cartoonist Floyd Norman.
What is a Furry?
Anthropomorphic or “humanized” animals have been with us since the dawn of civilization. From the gods of ancient Egypt to the advertising icons of the modern day, people of every culture have created fanciful creatures simply by imbuing animals with human traits. Only within the last two decades has anthropomorphic or “Furry” fandom been recognized as a distinct fan-base in its own right.
