The Xbox is losing.

The XBox is really taking a beating. First, the shipping company DHL lost 21,600 XBoxes when a train derailed in Texas. DHL refuses to pony up the cash to compensate Microsoft for it’s popular gaming system.
Then, 27-year old Yewchoo Ng scammed multiple retailers out of over $182,000 by buying new Xboxes and putting the serial number on old ones which were returned to the store. [Source]
Due to relatively weak sales, Microsoft lowered the price of an Xbox from $279 to $199. This makes the Xbox 360 the cheapest console (even less than a Nintendo Wii). The cut has boosted sales, not only in the US, but overseas as well.
According to market analyst NPD, in July 2008 the Xbox sold 205,000 units, the PlayStation 3 sold 225,000, and the Nintendo Wii dominated with sales of 555,000. [Source]
MD is Hi, I'm Mad DPS or MD as I'm known here. But you can also call me Tim. I started Nerdy Life Magazine, Nerdy Fest NW and the Nerdcore Artist Wiki to contribute something (however insignificant) to the community I call home. Other than blogging, I'm also a rapper, music producer, veteran, and student.
